Smoking a pipe while fly fishing?

I have several sets of bent Rhodesians I take with me on fishing trips. They're the French GBD 9438. They clench nicely but I don't usually try to fish and smoke at the same time. like others I stop for coffee and a smoke at intervals, often when I come up on a new pool. I can watch for rising fish and enjoy a smoke. Now that's the best of both worlds.

My favorite scenerio is standing in the tail out casting dries to rising fish while clenching a cob packed with Haddo's or maybe this year some Fire Storm. I can really get into the zone in that situation. I have bit through a stem or two doing it though.

I guess I'm going to have put Haddos high on my try list.
