I smoked a Padron 2000 on my patio last night. Amazing and satisfying flavor out of that thing. No gurgle either -Bonus!

I had a bowl this morning, early, outside; then, while the wife was off to something at Gilda's Club, hauled a fan out onto my screened in back porch and smoked one there. Will probably grab another one after dinner there - that porch faces east, so it will be pretty nice with the fan going. Heat's supposed to break here after Saturday - supposed to be in our usual pattern of mid-eighties in the daytime, mid-sixties at night. I'll be glad to turn off the air and open the house back up - we both prefer it that way.

I may have to crack out a cigar tonight as the only thing that tastes close to normal is CH for me. For all those who say we'll be missing this in the winter..........I say BS!!!! I'd rather be wearing a parka in my shed with the space heater than deal with this crap.

Personally I don't understand this aversion to the heat at all; I've been waiting for the 100 degree weather all year. Enjoying some Great Outdoors with the puddle of fur cat out on the lanai now. :puffy:

Time to get the ball and chain off your backs boys
Actually, my wife initially said she wouldn't mind if I smoked (occasionally) in the house, but I have chosen not to do so. We're hoping to move into a slightly larger place sometime in the next few years, and we need to keep the place buyer-friendly in the meantime. The decision not to smoke indoors is entirely mine - I'm another one who doesn't care for the smell of stale smoke. The amount of offgassing I get from my meager tobacco 'cellar' and small rotation of pipes is more than enough, and that reminds me that I need to pick up some Everclear soon - I've almost finished off the Maker's Mark I've been using for cleaning.
Thankfully, there have been breaks in the weather. Colorado's not terribly humid, normally, unless there's a storm moving in (and we had some doozies this month), so smoking on the back patio and/or the front porch is still pleasant. I do have to admit to waiting until after dark earlier this week, though... :D

I remember smoking in the smoke pit at Nellis AFB in Nevada on days that were 120 outside... However uncomfortable it was I still would not give up my smoke time.

You guys need to man up- enjoying a bowl of Erinmore Flake on a 90 degree, 90% humidity Sarasota afternoon....and when it starts to gurgle, it's time to go inside for another glass of wine...

Every day here is in the 90's approaching 100, year around. Humidity here on the beach is 100% always. On New Years Day I'll take a swim in the ocean and then at home on the front porch listen to the sound of the waves, and enjoy some "Trout Stream". After a couple of years of every day at high temp's you kind of get used to it.

hey spud - where's here?

We had relatives visiting from Puerto Rico one summer. Here in VT, our days usually (not this summer however) are in the 70s. Funny thing was, they thought it was freezing! They wore sweaters on our deck when the temp was like 73 deg.

Na, speaking for the great white north, manning up is all about dealing with the cold. When it's cool out many more things are much more enjoyable.
