I haven't had it in a long ash time so the caveat of people and things change especially over long periods of time applies. But I remember it being passable if you're broke. Pretty tasty and good for the price point, yet if you can afford the next step up you'll get more bang for your buck.

The cut is broad, it's not RYO tobacco at all. It is pipe tobacco. I've tried Whisky, Black Cavendish, Vanilla and Rum Cured so far. Of these, I've really liked them all but for Rum Cured as I find its taste a bit off setting, at first. The rum is there but there's a burnt aroma that reflects in the taste.
I was absolutely surprised at how decent a tobacco they are for the price. I still have Cherry and Classic to try. From the cut and the bag aroma, I don't think it would compare to Carter Hall.

Smokers Pride is a budget bulk brand pipe tobacco (not RYO) made by Lane Ltd so you could compare it to their bulk tobacco's.
I believe Vanilla is similar to RLP-6; the cherry is compared to their cherry bulk etc.

There are other threads on this brand if you use the search bar above. Here is one of the more recent ones:

The topping is weird - very chemical artificial fruit flavoring. I found it off putting. I would just go for the Carter Hall.
