Smokers candles?

Ive seen these for sale at walmart and other similar places, they advertise being able to get rid of the smoke smell.
I have a one room studio that i live in for school, and my girlfriend isnt too hot on the smoke smell, if i burned this while i smoked and afterwards, will it get rid of the smell sooner?
Anyone ever try one?

To be honest they don't work that well. The best thing for smoke in my experience is an air purifier, but they are expensive. Incense will work, but it has to be strong (depending on the tobacco you smoke) and sometimes this smeel is worse than the tobacco.

Best thing I know is if it's a big thing then smoke out side. (not to be a snob) One can put good smelling stuff on a pig but the pig is still there. :rofl:

I used to make scented candles with my wife. We made one for a customer especially for cigar smoke. His wife said it worked quite well. It was specifically aimed at eliminating the smell of cigar/cigarette/pipe smoke.

I use an orange lemon splash smoke eliminator candle and my wife truly cannot tell if I've had a pipe. Now, that being said, I usually try and have it going for an hour or so after my smoke before she comes home. She doesn't mind the aromatic's but others she can smell. The other day I had Davidoff Flake Medallions....I opened up the windows a crack and had that candle going. She came home and could not tell at all, even after I told her the tobacco I had. My opinion is they can work if the candle is burning for a long period of time after you are done. It will just smell like the scent from the candle. Just my opinion. Good luck

I have no experience with air purifiers and I tried some of the "smokers candles" and wasn't really impressed with the results. I usually light a "Clean Cotton" Yankee Candle while smoking (most scented candles actually give me headaches) and this one works for me and especially my girlfriend.

I smoke outside. No way around it. One day I hope to create an airtight man cave complete with vent fan and air purifier, but that day is a long way off.

We used to have some air purifiers and they worked so well that you couldn't smell smoke within 15 minutes after. Those have broken and been removed, so we just use Glade candles if there's something that has a more potent smell that we want to get rid of.
