Man. I think I've just got it.

Just putted away a white ash of Peterson's Old Dublin, after almost two hours.

I'm smoking my pipes for two weeks now. I thought, that I'm doing that very slowly. Breath method etc.
But this time I've done it even slower. And this time I was able to appreciate the taste. Like really. I've never though that you should go THAT slow.

Amazing.

If you're just starting out with pipes (like me), do yourself a favor. Find two hours for yourself and take your time. It's really worth it.

Do you use a filter or other moisture control?

One thing to mention, is that I've tried for the first time Frank method.

But I don't think it will have much of an impact. As a result, my previous method does virtually the same thing.
I just started to taste what I thought was a "misfire" until recently.

A dry and pleasant smoke.

If I'm running a chainsaw, I smoke more aggressively. Sitting at the computer or reading a book, less slow. As long as my brain is content with the nicotine level ... I'm a happy smoker. But, tempo and depth is determined by what chore or diversion I am engaged in.
Is it because you still make those revving noises you made as a child while you are chainsawing?
