Just wondering if there are many people here that still only smoke one pipe?
I have 15 pipes, and for me I have 13 too many pipes, so I'm going to ebay the 13 dust collectors, and never do this again...I'm just a one, or two pipe kind of guy, I know that I'll be the odd man out here, but that's just the reality of it.
Just curious if I truly stand alone on this issue...I believe I do, but just want to ask anyway.

I know many years ago, everyone I knew only had one, maybe two pipes.
The one pipe I do smoke, I really, really enjoy and I think that to me that is what is important.

But I am just curious is all....okay guys/girls, fire away at me, I can take it.. 8)

Hey Ranger, I would'nt sell those other pipes. I've sold a few on ebay and a year or two later wish I had the pipe I sold to smoke again. Store them in a drawer. Just a thought.

I know you're right, but I could also use the bread.
You see I don't drive and I live alone, so most everything I use I order on line and have shipped to me...

Paper goods, laundry detergent, soaps, and snacks etc., from Amazon.com,.....

my food I order from Swanson's..(good food BTW),and they take food stamps.
Plus I always seem to 'need' something that I want that is on the bay.
I don't take any medications what so ever, not even an aspirin.... I only use herbs etc., so that is all out of pocket expenses,

for ex, for HBP, I take Mukta Vati which I order from India, I could get HBP meds free from the VA, but I choose not to...

Conventional medications do not cure.....Mukta Vati will cure the HBP in about a year and a half...

so you see I don't mind as that is the way I choose to live, however, I sure could use the bucks instead of a drawer full of pipes. 8)

In fact the only things I buy at the store are eggs, milk, and rice....everything else is shipped to me....what a life, a pauper that lives like a king....gotta love it. :worship:
And honestly I've even thought about using powdered eggs..yuk!...and powdered milk...double yuk!!

The rice I have no choice but to get that at the store, it is just way out of proportion shipping wise.
But if I could, I would have that shipped to me also, and I just can't get around to using powdered eggs, and milk..at least not yet.

I understand. I would sell them too. I was just speaking from my own experience. I had a peterson systen standard 314 that I sold on ebay 2 years ago and wish I had that pipe back. Good luck on the sell.

Thanks, I have a lot of stuff I could sell...the only thing stopping me is ... no camera..digital is what I need, but I'll get one, and then I'll be good.
The way I look at it right now is all this 'stuff' is like money in the bank.
Thanks for your advise, I know you are right, as I've gotten rid of many things in the past then kicked my self in the ass later....but hey, that's life.

Wow ranger, that sounds cool. I'm self taught. Im 35 and have been playing since I was 15. I like most types of music (exept rap). I also play a bit of mandolin. A friend and I have been playing at nursing home the past couple months. I would love to have a career playing but got a touch of reality when I visited Nashville a couple years ago. I realized I aint that good. Haha.

Do you get paid for playing in nursing homes? I've been told that most all of them have activities directors/entertainment co-ordinators that have to constantly find things for the occupants. I would think monthly concerts would be great, especially if you could get on a list and just play all the ones in your state.

Nah. We dont get paid to play at nursing homes. We just do it for fun. Truth is, we dont feel like were good enough to get paid and if your in a nursing home you probably already have enough problems.

Following the white rabbit
I enjoy the variety of smoking different pipes and tobaccos, but I have a couple of pipes I would be perfectly happy smoking all the time if I had to.
I do know a couple of guys who own only a single pipe and smoke them all day long every day with no ill effects. Do what works for you.

Correction........I get my food delivered by Schwan's, not Swanson's....Swanson's is where I get my supplements.

Mp31, musical talent doesn't always have to be a matter of technique, but feeling.
Look at musicians like BB King...he doesn't have massive amounts of talent, but man can that guy feel what he plays, he can play one single note with such feeling, that one note is all that is needed to get the music across.
So you just play with feeling/soul, and don't worry about technique and you will do just fine.
