That makes sense. My bread machine is like a 30 year old R2D2 model, which makes a different looking loaf. But, yeh, love the smells. We only make French breads in it, but sometimes we will add garlic or Italian herbs for an interesting accompaniment for pasta.

We had a bread machine years ago that made square loaves/loafs (?) like the one in the picture. I loved the smell while it was baking.

Tell me bout it... during lockdown I was having a hard time keeping enough calories in me from the garden, and I was wasting away like a prisoner of war... till I dragged my old bread machine out of the barn, now I am back to exercising again to keep the bread off my gut.
