I'm way out of my depth here, talking about aromatics -- of which I seldom partake. But it seems to me that there are two kinds: one being Burley leaf cased with artificial flavoring, which, it seems, would work as well as soaked cardboard; the other being quality leaf (that you can actually taste) that is lightly flavored or complemented by toppings. I don't like heavy-handed approaches to flavoring. If I can pick up the taste of good, quality tobacco, then I'll accept just about any decorative flavors and scents used to enhance, or at least work with, the tobacco.
ps. I don't mean to imply that Burley is not quality tobacco -- I smoke tons of it. (Well, pounds, anyway
pps. I think it was Pease, among others, who avers that there is no such thing as
unflavored Burley on the market.
ppps. I can't recall your experiences from previous posts, but 1-Q delivers both good taste and aroma, if you require both.
