I ordered recently a couple forever stems. One is the nosewarmer straight, and one was a 3 1/4 inch half bent.
I enjoy both, however the bits on them are very much different in size. The nosewarmer has a very wide bit, where the longer one is much thinner. I wish the nosewarmer had the thinner bit, then it would be perfect. Maybe I can convince him to do a custom job.
Anyhoo, what is your preference to the wideness of the stem bits? Skinny or wide? And why?

It's funny you're asking this right now. Just last week I received my first two Morgan Bones pipes. I was so disappointed in the bits, they are both thicker and wider than I am used to and feel bulky and clunky to me. If I stick with them I'm sure I'll get used to them but I like my series III Savinelli's so much I haven't reached for the Bones since their inaugural smokes.

I bet they would do custom. It appears they make to order from my limited experience. Tim West has made a few custom stems for me at a reasonable rate. Wide for me!
