That must be a hell of a dry smoke then. Always interesting to find examples of things that have since fallen into the mists of time.

fadingdaylight - yikes! Yep, that Tokutomi is pretty silly I agree...
...here's the Jørn Micke shape that it was intended to be a tribute to:

Misterlowercase, I almost pissed myself. To think there are two of these abominations.
I just can't see myself, in the What Are You Smoking thread, posting "Smoking some nice, nutty burley in the Tokutomi Scrot."

I saw a Jobey Dansk in its box once in an antique market in San Fran and assumed it was some strange bong. It sort of reminded me of honey suckle fungus. I am now intrigued as I wonder how both bowls breath evenly?

I guess these are tributes to the stereotype of pipe smokers as decided eccentrics. Not quite

that eccentric, I'm afraid.

Sorry Dunhill fans but Im gonna have to put this one in the "Silly Category" Must be rare at that price. to me I can see why they would be rare and discontinued, hehe

In 1904 Alfred invented the “Windshield Pipe,” hoping to combat some of the difficulties a smoker would face while driving. It was this sort of innovation in response to the customer’s needs that would make Dunhill Pipes the leader in its field.

Freak show pipes, more like it. Some odd tobacco delivery devices have been made and are still floating around out there. I personally don't care for anything with a face on it, human or animal. But some of these are true freaks.

Well if you own either the Micke, or the Tokutomi, and wear a kilt whilst you smoke your pipe this may be the perfect accessory for you.

I recently disposed of a red Brylon pipe. It sat unsmoked for a time on my shelf. My wife came by and said it looked like a childhood bubble pipe. I couldn't look at it seriously anymore. Sorry no pic.

Cops found a silly one in my stepson's room. One of my sockets from my took kit with a pen shaft wedged in it. They liked it so much, they kept it. Court hearing is the 26th. (Decriminalized in my state, but he's underage).

Hahaha 12pups, I used to make those myself. My Dads toolbox of brass fittings was a favorite go-to spot. After he found a few and we had a argument he would say "Put that in your pipe and smoke it"

Thanks Al for posting that rather odd looking pipe. I was beginning to get creeper out with some of the genitally oriented offerings...
