I strive for time alone. Silence is golden and as of today I'm off work for a week which means more time for puzzles, video games, yard work, and watching local wild fauna. Coronacation is something I've been needing for a while now.
My only problem with it is more time to just sit here and worry. The weather here still sucks so can’t really do much outside which is what I’d like to be doing.

Life's too short to worry. I just engage in intellectual pursuits and take great delight in simply sitting still and watching the movement of nature around me. Yesterday I saw a pair of coyotes playing with a discarded tennis ball, something I never imagined witnessing.

So, no piracy for the time being? We've plenty of cinchona bark on the Frigate, you know? Aren't they saying that's just the thing for Wuhan virus?

Been thinking of taking my telephoto and doing some birding. Then again, I'd not enjoy it, being anxious all the time, constantly watching out for the regulators to come and tell me to go home.

The crows haven't returned yet to caw outside my window asking for biscuits.

I'm kinda liking my isolation.

I'm still working but my wife is taking care of our daughter full time since she got laid off so I don't have to go back and forth to daycare anymore. Plus I get to see my wife and daughter more (we worked opposite shifts) and lunch & dinner are always waiting for me.

Weekends are nice and cozy since we don't go out. It's like if you went somewhere for the weekend and ended up stuck in your hotel room due to weather.

If we get bored we just load up the Jeep and head out into the desert or mountains like we did this last Sunday and completely avoid people.

Not to mention more time overall with my wife means more of a certain activity when the little one falls asleep. With our busy lifestyles before we didn't have near enough time around each other. ???

Isolation, my ass. I'm at the studio, just from home. Production email goes on all the damned day. I have a constant flow of production matters to deal with. At least I can take a break and get in a walk. Doing laundry is easier. I'm saving a ton not eating out. And I don't have to wear headphones while listening to Sleepy Hollow. The only thing I'm missing are bagels on Friday.
