Take a break and get well. On a plus side, your cellar will get some more aging on it. I noticed in the past when I take a break for a while, my taste comes back and my favorites taste even better than before.

Fisher sit your butt down. Drink your instant coffee in your old favorite cup and STAY AWAY FROM SMOKING until your healed up.
If your not 100% you can't go on your yard sale binge trips this summer.

Fisher, we're all rooting for you to get well as quickly as possible. There's yet time to enjoy your pipes when you're better.

Leave the smoking alone till you're better if you can, your recovery is your priority right now. In the meantime my best wishes for good health!

Hey guys, thanks for all the nice comments, much appreciated! I have a nic addiction, yes, I can admit it

I have been trying to be good about this, so, hopefully, and I am not trying to break the rules, I have resigned myself to the E-Pipe I have here, just for the nicotine fix. Boys, I tell ya, I may be getting the nic I need, but it is really lacking in the other joys.

Hey there NS. Sorry to hear you're under the weather... what about a patch while you're sick? Easier on the lungs, but still gives you the nic you need.
Time to break out the good stuff, whiskey and water to ease what ails you.
Best,
-- Pat

fisher, I would not mess around with this. I went through a bunch of bronchial infections years ago which landed me in the hospital numerous times and on breathing treatments and serious doses of steroids and anti biotics. If you do what the doctors say at the beginning and don't smoke, you will get better faster and you won't have relapses. Please do the right thing and you will be back to your pipes quicker and for good. I hope you are feeling a little better.

Glad you got the treatment you needed in time. I had the very same thing years ago and it is a mother. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I smoked cigarettes at the time and had no problem staying off of them for a few weeks because I couldn't breath well and coughed a lot anyway. Take care.

Hate to hear you are sick! I was diagnosed with pleurisy myself 4 months ago. I didn't touch a pipe or cigar for 3 months!!!! Have just actually started to get back into them in the last few weeks.... Use your common sense and get better first. Your pipes and tobacco will be waiting. And your tobacco will actually have a little aging on them!!!!
Get better soon!

Rick
