Yachtexplorer: those are some real beauties. You have a great eye for pipes. I just got together a cabinet of Dunhills in my house. Am waiting for a Darjeeling cabinet from 2 Cousins for the Crosbys.
And FoggyMountain wins the contest for obsessive Dunhill collector. I mean that in the nicest way. That's a beaut. I have eight, I think, but I'm technologically incompetent and can't post a picture.
Bought a Dunhill Cumberland Canadian this summer from a fellow on Facebook this summer. Hundred and fifty. Its a nifty group 4 sized pipe. Very happy with it.
Kashmir, I like that Canadian! Size 4 is my favorite.
The two Cumberland Lovats I posted previously are no longer in my collection but I didn't want to take down the pics. I just wasn't crazy about them so they helped finance my latest Dunhill PAD. ::
The Lovat is my second favorite pipe shape. Earlier this year I picked up this '62 #40 Shell to match the other one I aleady own. One for English blends and this one reserved for non-Latakia tobaccos.
I've added 4 new Dunhills to my collection in 2014:
A strange oval-shanked and 1/8 bent Tanshell Billard (shape number 24039) and an Army Mount Prince, Bruyere. Both group 2:
Then another Prince, but a Shell from 1927 with a nice, craggy blast. I'd say this is a group 2, also:
And finally, a group 2 Root Billard from the 70ies. Wonderful crossgrain on this one.
