I looked for a thread for Becker pipes, but...
Anyways, I'm very excited to get this new pipe home from the briary, and I've only smoked two bowls in it so far. Once I had established a good assortment of pipes for the rotation and different styles of tobaccos that I enjoy, I felt that I had enough of the cheaper name brand pipes, so I wanted to start taking my PAD money and holding it back till I could afford to start collecting some of the more artistic hand-mades.
I will never be able to afford a Ferrari or Porsche, but in the world of pipes if I save up, I can afford to buy some of the Ferraris of the pipe world. That is a big part of what I love about this hobby, even the most expensive of pipes are still within reach for the working man if you save and stay focused on acquiring it.
When I saw this very small Becker at the B&M, handled it, and explored the design an engineering, this one started calling my name. It clenches well, with the stem and button design fitting in my teeth like a dream. And, it smokes perfect for my style, maybe a tad more open than I prefer, but I expected to have to learn how exactly it wants to be smoked.
Anyways, I am excited to have this work of art for myself. If I can just make myself stop holding it and looking at it long enough to burn another bowl in it
