Never cared much for that shape, or the Cavalier; but that one pipe looks pretty awesome indeed. Upside down is a poised cobra.

I’m not a huge fan of Ramses or Cavaliers (I’ve got a couple of those to flip).
Anyway, Jamdat692, that Ramses of yours has phenomenal grain! What a show-piece of a pipe. Very nice.

Don't have one but this is the best one I've ever seen.
I would never care to own a Rameses pipe, but anybody with an eye for wood can tell it takes a lot of skill (or luck) to properly select and cut a briar block to get the desired effect.
I can't remember where, but I read a while back about the desired grain on each element of this pipe shape. It's the only shape I can think of where the graining is an integral part of the shape itself, and not just the way the block is shaped.

The shape is great. I can’t afford a Nordh, and he owns that shape.
In the original post, it looks like an Oom-Paul and a blowfish got together and had a kid. Striking, a little unsettling.

This shape would be similar, angle of drilling to angle of bowl.
It's a hard shape to get right, I've tried twice to make one. You have to hit the bottom corner of the bowl just right.

Labeled Ramses when purchased. I do not know what a true one looked like. But loved this shape and could not have done without.
That looks more like a cavalier to me. Does the cap at the end come off?
