Gonna keep this going. These are my very favorite pipes. I have all the Petersons I need - don't need any more Brebbias, full up on Invictas and GBDs...but I'll always be looking forward to my next Neerup. Here are the two I have now, along with the book that started it all - for me anyway.

Unsmoked estate from SP for $170. Absolute no-brainer. All the things that usually keep me from loving most Neerups, this pipe does well. Shaping isn’t overly bulbous, no huge dark splotches in the stain/grain, and the blast, while still shallow, is at least deep enough to show off some killer ring grain.
As an added bonus, I gave away a bunch of my open jars recently because I want to reinvent the rotation a little bit and now I have so many good blends I could smoke with this thing. The possibilities are limitless.

I’m not seeing too many Neerups show up at SP.com, less than usual, and they all tend to be very bulbous mostly, with very few of his classic shapes coming up, or variety. Not to mention biggest price increases in years…. At least 30%, unlike the usual 10%. Hopefully this is just a phase, at least on the shapes.
Absolutely love Neerups. I'm surprised I only have two, but the finishes on both are magic. They both smoke great but the apple, for some reason, is the best smoking pipe I have. It seems not to matter what you put in it, it's delicious. Not an expensive pipe or anything, I think just luck of the draw with the briar block that happened to make this one. They're great.
