Thx. Right, I find I can't stand straight horn stems as the stem is too thick and uncomfortable for me and I am more of a straight pipe person, but bent horn stems seem work to work a lot better for me. The button is near perfect for me and I clench. Obviously the stem is going to be thicker than other materials, but I really like it. There
are several on sp.eu, but most are 9mm or I'd be tempted to pickup another.

That feedback is very helpful. I’m primarily a bent pipe smoker and also haven’t liked the straight horn stems so this might be the perfect solution. And yeah, I’d have picked one from SPE if not for the 9mm filters.

I wasn’t, it’s only this year that the roof of my mouth started getting sensitive. So I’m going to use filtered pipes, and the Altinay meerschaum bowl filters in two of my non filtered pipes and see how they work out, and if good, then I’ll buy non filtered pipes in the future, otherwise it will be filtered.
