Show Us Your Corncobs

Although I mostly collect artisan pipes, often when I don’t know what pipe to smoke I’ll reach for my Carolina Gent with a red acrylic stem. It’s a collaboration pipe between Missouri Meerschaum and C&D. It has a generous sized bowl and the acrylic stem is very comfortable.

I wanted more Missouri Meerschaum cobs in the vein of that Carolina Gent. A decent sized bowl with a nice acrylic stem. I found six of them that fit the bill, so I made up an order on SmokingPipes.

Cobs tend to get underestimated, mostly because of their price. Don’t be fooled though, they’re excellent smokers.

I look at corn cobs at my gas station want to pick one up but have yet to try one one....does it change the taste of the tobacco

Yes he is still making pipes from time to time. My white candle cob was a semi-recent commission,

I truly love Corn Cob pipes. I have had many, many over the years. Many of them have been gifted or traded off, leaving me left with what my photos show. The first two photos are the ones I pick up and smoke now and again. a few have not even been smoked yet! The last two are my favorites and the best smokers. One is a 15+ year old MM and the other, the top one, is five/six year old DEG Custom Cob.

Ive got four MM cobs at the moment.
The two on the top Ive had sinse 2005 or so, they are retired.
The two on the bottom are about 10 years old. The third down is a Great Dane....the bottom is a 5th Avenue...I believe they call them Diplomats now....or maybe not.
The 5th Avenue is obviously unsmoked. It has an unused "Forever Stem" on it. The stem is from when they still put the white dot on the stem.
Why have I not smoked it?
I honestly do not know. Ill get to it some day.
