Not really vintage but the oldest tin I have is the Erinmore which I bought in 2010. The tin has changed twice since then.

My wife has one of the old all-metal Granger tins we keep in the kitchen. That was

my dad's tobacco, and also Granger is the name of my wife's hometown in Missouri.

I have one of the less exalted cardboard-and-foil with a snap plastic top with the

tobacco in it.

I have this tin that was my Father-in-law's. I am guessing it is from the late 40's, it is labeled for use by US Military and he was a Marine in WW2. I use it to carry my pipe cleaners and such. I like the artwork on it:

Edited to add: if anyone knows more about when this would have been made I would be curious to hear.

Sorry for the multiple postings- still trying to get the hang of this..........This is a real old square tin of Escudo--still sealed, price tag says $1.75!! The Three nuns is sealed as well, odd that it reads "tobacco-tabac" where all the other tins I've seen read "none nicer" in that space?? This one has a price written in grease pencil on it, very faint but is $2.19!!

The Bond Street tin is indeed very cool and I would love to have one just for the same purpose you have found. Looking at that tin art for some reason reminds me of the old WB cartoons from the 40's and 50's. Weird? Yes I am. ;-)

Greetings All,
I've been following the forum for quite some time now and I thought I would finally join and post. Below are a few tins I've collected over the years to go with my pipe collection.
Three Nun's Tin - I hope to try the new version soon.

Balkan Sobranie - The Canadian Duty sticker on this one is dated 1942, I'm actually not sure if that is how old the tin is.

Edgeworth - The condition on this one is near perfect.

Sabot (From the House of Edgeworth) - This tin is full and the contents actually smoke okay.

Granger - The colours are quite nice on this tin. You can see where the owner wore through the paint on the lid from opening it over time.

Old Port - This tin and an old pipe I found in my parents closet started my fascination with pipes at age 10.

Welcome alfredgee, that is quite a first post!
I was in a PA antique shop last week and spotted this impressive display. Check out some of those price tags, I think they'll be there for a while. The tins appeared to have been opened and empty. Even full and unopened, they wouldn't command those kind of prices, right?
