It will by my first straight bulldog. I like the bulldog shape but typically avoid them due to weight. This one is only 37 grams.

Thanks, I hope it smokes as well as my other Ashtons. I am guessing once I get a bit of polish on the bowl from handling it, the finish will really pop.

If you like old pipes, you know that the bulldog was a popular shape. I have quite a few. Here's a Premier French Briar Redmanol from around 1920.

1901 Samuel M. Bull with horn saddle stem.

It's hard to beat a classic English bulldog with fine silver work for looks.
I've had some nice real old timers from John's pipe Shop. I think if a fella really tried he could have a pretty fine collection of them.

My first (and only) bulldog, which I bought from Maxim last month, a 4 clover Viprati.

Of the several bulldogs I have this is my most recent. A Gabrieli made by Dan Chlebove of Bethlehem, Pa. IUt was love at first puff.
