Show Off Your Pipe Tamper Here

I'm fairly new to pipe smoking and still my only tamper is this classic Czech with a Pokémon keychain my buddy gave me a while ago.

Eventually I want to upgrade; Lord of the Rings themed perhaps like the sigil of Gonor for instance. I've seen so many cool ones. It's just another facet of the hobby to express through if desired. Bespoke, if you will. Just as much its own collection if given the opportunity.

Share your thoughts and a pic of your favorite tamper and/or the whole collection! I know there are cool ones out there let's goooo.

I did one with .45acp. It was fine but the one in the picture is 9mm which I prefer.

I haven't used anything but my finger for over a decade.
Ive got a bunch of tampers, pipe stands and pipe lighters.
But, my finger, a Bic and leaning have become my preferences.

Randomly used a tee as a tamper once during a round of golf and I have not gone back to any of my fancy pantsy decorative ones.

The slight concave of the top makes it damn perfect build for the task.

Yes, perfect shape and weight. If you use just the weight of the tee it tamps perfectly with most blends. Just set it on the ember. Sometimes I push down a bit, depending on the situation, but generally just use the weight of the tamper. I find the various nails and multi-tools too heavy to use this way. They crush the ember and put it out, so you need to control them more. But, I do admire the craftsmanship of the tampers shown here.
