That's a new one on me. I've sent quite a few pipes to Briarville for reaming and cleaning with great results.Just got some pipes back from restoration. They turned out great.

Ok this new addition is a bit of mystery to me... Dating it should be pretty easy straight forward - no hallmarks and a MADE IN IRELAND block stamp, plus the 309 stamp puts it in my opinion in 1948 or 1949. What weird me out is the lack of an additional stamp under Peterson's system.. seeing that it has a bone condenser it looks like a premier system to me, i think I have also seen some system 0s with silver ferules... Anyways there is no additional stamp. Does anyone have any idea or is it something normal , that I just haven't seen before? @ashdigger View attachment 434032View attachment 434033View attachment 434034View attachment 434035View attachment 434036
Ok very interesting, what gave it away as being from the 20s? Shouldn't it have same hallmarks then? This changes things a lot and dating pipes becomes confusing again...Great looking pipe. It’s from the 20’s. I have a few Petersons Systems from the 20’s that are actually Deluxes with that silver cap.
Peterson in the 20’s did some crazy stuff
The only thing I can think of is the ferrule shape, but then weren't the 3xx stamps introduced in the late 30s?Great looking pipe. It’s from the 20’s. I have a few Petersons Systems from the 20’s that are actually Deluxes with that silver cap.
