I really like both of my Pete's. They're both great smokers, especially the 69. I like the feel of the p-lip on the 307, but lately I have been reaching for the fishtail.

I think my dream pipe would be a Smooth System Spigot 302 or 305 but I have to save up for one of those.

I really enjoy seeing all of the old Petersons you guys have. There is something about the old Petersons that is just nostalgic and fantastic.

No matter if I would like to admit this or not, some of my best smoking pipes are Peterson meers... And here are three more, that just arrived all three are system pipes and I think the shapes are 314,312 and 9s. I am not sure if the smooth one was ever smoked, since I have never bought a brand new one and also they are all quite dirty. Another weird thing for me is that I am 99% sure the ferrules are silver and not nickel(I am cleaning them at the moment), but there are no sterling stamps or hallmarks... Is this a common thing for Pete Meers?

I have two Pete meers, and I don't believe either have the traditional stamping on them. With the meer carving outsourced to another company, it's possible incorrect ferules were placed, or mis (not) stamped, during assembly at the Pete factory. But it's just a thought. Pete meers are hard, if not impossible, to date.

The weird thing here for me are not really the stamps... I know this ferrule design and I have seen it often enough - the issue is that it is supposed to be nickel and mine are silver that's what's confusing me. I guess this one will go with the other random exceptions we see often enough with Peterson

Well, it's been 13 days actually in transit and I'm hoping SP EU is able to shed some light on where it may be. AN Post has a new tracking service which is actually more terrible than I remember the previous, but I've never really cared much because pipes used to make it over and be delivered in a reasonable time. My last order took much longer than normal and this one in terms of tracking is allegedly in the U.S. (I'm guessing in NYC) but has vanished, so we'll see what happens. Would love to get it, if not I'll get a refund, but I was about to place an order for a pipe I can only find there for someone as a gift, decided I'd see why mine hasn't shown up and now I'm a bit hesitant to order from them, and I've always had great experiences in the past overall.

I’ve ordered from them several times this year. Each time the shipping tracker either had no updates or was stuck for an extended period of time. In the end each order showed up. Normally within 14 days. But a few took 18-20 days.

I think it’s an issue with one system not talking to another. Plus the addition of the tariff process has added additional time.

Ths moment it hits usps it disappears for the AnPost tracking. Sometimes you can put ths Anpost number in at USPS and it will show up.
