When it comes to Petes - pre 1990 system Premiers are one of my favorites.
This new addition is extra interesting, because of the discontinued shape and of course it's age.

It's quickly becoming a favorite shape of mine and the size is just perfect.Excellent!!
Love the 308!! Probably why I have a dozen of them spanning approximately 40 years of production

Wow! Love that! So few pipes of any make, come with these windcaps. Need them or not, it's a nice touch.Arrived!
No YoP hallmark, but the pipe was made after 2003.

I have no Sherlock's bulldogs, but 80s, indeed, smaller than XL81. View attachment 421437
An orange ferruleI swear, the people in charge of themed pipes at Peterson have lost their creative juice. Black on black on black just doesn’t do it for Halloweensorry.
Yes. They did one a few years back with an orange military mount which looked quite smart and if they wanted to push the envelope and do a purple or radioactive green perhaps. Pete has a huge fan base and I’m sure something crazy would be well received, heck they may even be able to up the price for seasonal pipes that match the season! An orange ferrule![]()
I agree, take a chance, it's only once a year.Yes. I surely didn't think they'd plate copperlosing it's copper plating?
Especially if they make it a limited run and leverage the fan base’s fear of missing out.I agree, take a chance, it's only once a year.
Awesome PeteAnd another 'magpipe disease'. Peterson XL81 Silver lid, unsmoked. On a way home, will get it today. Bargain deal (as low as USD300).

I had literally just been looking at the PPN blog on the ‘24 POY release for about the thirtieth time, then perused the ‘bay for 309’s before I clicked on the forum and saw it’s ad here-four days to cross the pond and clear to here.
I told ya my next Pete would be two favorite colors: black and chrome
Grateful every day.
I wondered the exact same thing; but the sample I got "looked" exactly like it was disappearing just as I've seen on the old Gold Block......I surely didn't think they'd plate coppercopper is cheep enough to use solid material.
