BTW you are not a big fan of your 999 Kapmeer right? Right?
Well actually ... since its a rare pipe being only made for two years and is in very fine condition and is a Donegal Rocky old style ... I actually am a fan of it. I do think meerschaums produce hotter smoke however, not cooler like most. However I believe mine is earlier than yours. As I said the tenon goes directly into the briar 'wood' as in no reciprocal vulcanite or acrylic female liner part like yours :

My Peterson Meerschaum straight billiard is the same from the 60s-70s --- the 1-2 mm tenon goes directly into the meerschaum itself. Your tenons appear to be 3-4 mm but I am guessing based on the pics.

The second pipe from last week's PAD spree just arrived and I am quite confused to what it is... My best bet is a dunmore meerschaum, but I can't seem to find any info on those being a thing. Also I am sure the tennon is stuck and that's not how they decided to do the stem, right? I figure I get a second opinion before I get handy with some tool...

Here’s a Peterson meerschaum with Great Britain stamped on the stem. It’s got the reverse tennon.

It is correct, Manx/Laxey made loads of those and they all have that style tenon. The theory is that with tenon fixed there is no stress on the unmounted shank. It is 100% correct.

Also does anyone know why the pics look blurry until you click on them?

It probably has to do with how you uploaded them and they were processed as attachments that must be clicked on to view. If you use the little square icon with two mountain peaks in it, the pictures should appear inline with your text and display crisply.

What do you guys think of the 2025 Christmas Pipes? As an owner of a gorgeous 2024 Christmas Pipe I have to say that I'm underwhelmed with the 2025 versions?

Since you asked, not my cup of tea. I am not a fan of the rustication being done at Peterson these days. I did like the look of the Cobble pipes when they came out and was hoping they would have used that technique instead of the rustication.

I’m pretty disappointed. I look forward to Christmas releases each year but the rusticated looks rough. Pun intended
This specific one looks to me was rusticated by letting some squirrels chew on it for a bit... For anyone who likes it I apologize - I am not a native English speaker and what I meant to say is that it is a gorgeous pipe😅
