Older ‘new to me’ SH Baker Street with Beadwork ! Purchased @ Chicago Show.
And I want a Sherlock Holmes Baker Street, with beads now!
This beauty arrived today! Courtesy of Deadman Pipes ebay auction. 1985 XL305 1st edition.
Next Chicago Pipe Show purchase is Peterson SH Squire. The grain is VERY eye catching. Smokes like a dream too.

A Peterson ‘Kapmeer’ 106. Notice the MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN stamp. I asked Mark Irwin at the Pete Meet ‘Swap & Shop’ he held Saturday afternoon @ the show. He said it is a genuine Irish
Pete made in the London Shop of K&P. He explained how Paddy Larrigan came up with the idea of a tube like piece of meerschaum to line pipe walls yet have briar at the bottom. This allow things to dry out more easily as that can be a problem with some meerschaum pipes.
So, not only did I score a great pipe, but I got the inside scoop from ‘the guy who wrote the book
’ as the old saying goes!

Ok, I caved. The urge to buy my first pipe of the year kept growing til I hit the buy button tonight.

I think Peterson got this one a lot closer to the shape Mark Twain smoked, than their 'Mark Twain'.
I own three Mark Twains from the 80's but really wanted the 2022 POY as I had read that this was much closer to what Twain had smoked. It's a great looking pipe.
I just grabbed one with a Rua finish.
Will have to post soon.

Nice pipe. I have the 69-71 Kapmeer 999 Rocky Donegal. It seems to have a similar stem to shank fit. Its a great pipe but I find meerschaum to be a hot smoke. It's an O1 Irish Free State house pipe.
I got this one at an okay price, only because it was in poor condition. It required extensive work on the stummel and re-staining.I'd like to get one like that ... at the right price ...
Alright fellow CPG's and @RustiePyles CPG . I need some help and have a bit of a conundrum pipe on my hands. So I've been on the hunt for Sherlock Baker Streets with the beaded bowl, like the one I recently purchased from @Pipeoff. I recently found a brand new one on a website and ordered it immediately. It arrived today and to my surprise it has a 2006 hallmark on it. I'm a bit puzzled as I thought they only made the beaded design in the 80's.
