Absolutely gorgeous man

I actually wasn't even certain that I loved it when it first arrived but after the first smoke I'm more than sold. I tend to smoke small pipes too hot but this one never got uncomfortable to hold. Gonna really enjoy slowly putting a nice color into it.

I've been looking for a SH Lestrade for almost 10 years. No kidding. Today, I found one, a rusticated. I suppose patience does pay off.

The 9s Deluxe System Barley arrived today! Lovely pipe. I'll be having a smoke soon.

So I'll be waiting for this Deluxe System PSB 9s to arrive now as well. I certainly wasn't planning on purchasing yet another pipe, but this one was a must have when I saw it. And with the B42 arriving probably tomorrow, I believe I should show some restraint. Returning to the forum rekindled my PAD and TAD in a bad way... not that I'm complaining lol!

It seems like the Sherlock Holmes have shrunk significantly in size. They're labeled as XL but the dimensions for the Lestrade do not spell XL. Nor any other SH I have bought over the last 10 years.

I remember quite clearly some Sherlock Holmes pipes in the mid 1990s and they were quite the handful.

I don't know about the 1980s. I was referring to 1990s and they were larger than they are today.

I've got one of those 9b's, it's probably my favorite pipe, recently picked up a xl5s. So far the 9b is the better pipe

The new B42 came in the mail today and I'm about to have it's inaugural smoke of Old Toby. This thing is fantastic. Came with the complimentary tin of C&D St. Patrick's Day Reserve, but I'm saving that one for tomorrow or perhaps Saturday.

Don't know that that is true. I have a 1990 SH and quite a few from the past 5-6 years and the dimensions seem consistent over the years. Of course, there had been a SH juniors line which featured smaller SH pipes.

I've got a few from the mid 90's as well and mid 00's. I dont see much a of a size difference between any of the decades of releases. Now I want to really look mine over and double check them. Lol.
