Painted, stained, or other interesting coloring. DIY or professional.

I have seen pictures scattered about the forums and thought it would be nice to have a single thread full of inspiration.

Cobs preferred, but any interesting painted pipes would be welcome!

I’ll start it off with an MM legend colored walnut with a furniture repair marker. I don’t recommend coloring like this. It looks nicer than a plain cob but feels tacky and I’m worried about the color staining things. I’ll likely clean it off and try something else.

I made these as part of a pair for the Secret Santa, but the purplish one is the winner and the blue is runner up. I made myself one and thought it smoked so good that I should start makeing them for others. So here they are in order from 1st to last (so far). Any way my brand is called N Rod Cobs for cob made pipes. The blue pipe is up for grabs so if interested shoot a P.M. By the way nice work gentlemen great looking cobs. Oh and by the way they have a Mimmo Romeo Briar plug/base 20230103_180315.jpg 20220428_174726.jpg a picture of the blue pipe "without" gold band and forever stem with a more natural balance with lighter vulcanite stem20220616_172517.jpg
And last but not least the pipe i decided would fit @TheIronMonkey best a purple chameleon stained cob which was 1 of his Secret Santa gifts. IMG_20221231_210148.jpg
