Tekin Squashed Tomatoe with a metal band. I had to drill out the stem and tenon a little to get a better draw but it smokes great now. It's a small chamber, usually gives me around a half hour smoke. It's not a comfortable clencher, but it feels great in the hand.

Hey guys!
I’m new here and have never smoked a pipe. My friend is currently in Denmark and he bought this for me. Doing some research I see this is Meerschaum. Real or not I don’t really care as it is a gift. What I don't understand is the stem. I have searched for pipes with a stem like this and didn't find anything. Do I need to take care of it differently? Is this common with Meers?

Here's one that should be arriving soon.

He had it at an opening bid of 59 British pounds and no one bit. So when he changed it to a 69 pound BIN, I bought it. Yes, I'm an idiot.

I love 'wolf' pipes, although I'm not sure what this is. Looks like a cross between a Cheshire cat and a dog?

It's a big pipe. Based on the shape of the case, the fact that it's so big, and that it had a non-plip stem, I'm convinced it's a meer that Peterson sold out of their Nassau Street shop back ~1910-20. I have another cased Peterson with an orific amber stem and no hallmarks on the ferrule, so this doesn't surprise me.

I'll ask George to make me an amber-colored stem to fit it.

With IMPs prices recently jumping $60-$80, finding that horn at under $200 unsmoked I has to jump on it. Not to mention I had been looking for one for banana blends.
