Perusing the estate offerings recently on SP, this GBD stopped me, though I'm not normally looking for billiards. The grain, and the apparent condition, and my fixation with the marque. Have it in hand, looks to be little smoked. Stamping : one side -- GBD FLAME GRAIN other side London England 2515.
If anyone has any info on this pipe (for example "OMG what a find", or "I've been looking for one of these for years !" , etc etc) I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks in advance. I can't tell before posting if the photos will appear full size, fingers crossed.

I just purchased this English Estate Pipe GBD Fantasy Collector 9633 (1960’s) with a Perspex Stem. It took me a lot of time and was quite a challenge cleaning the nicotine residue from inside the stem. It’s not perfect, but I think I did a respectable job for my first effort. The bowl is so interesting and has such a nice color. I was immediately sold on the pipe once I put in my hand and gave it a trial clench.

Here's a test for the GBD savvy people out there. Where was it made and date range. I'm stumped.

My current GBD line up is lacking.
One day I will find a nice one hopefully a Rhodesian 😂
GBD appear regularly on EBay and other sites IF you are not averse to estates
Both English and French manufacture
Often very good value as they don’t command the stratospheric prices of Barlings, Dunhills and Comoy Blue Rbands
Rebornpipes often have a few for sale

Thank you,
I will start looking for a good one.
The Dunhill’s can be abusive on the wallet for sure. Im also want a Sasieni and a Comoy however I have not studied these makes enough to have a good understanding of prices and varients.
