I don't have one, but the other closed discussion thread was talking about how some members were talking about their ultra-expensive pipes all the time. I can only imagine such a pipe to be mind blowing works of art - let's see them!
P.S.: Don't be lame and take random pics from the internet - you gotta hold it in yer own hands and call her your own to play here ;-)
Edit: Corrected capitalization in title per Rule #9, L.

Sheesh. Don't have any. But sure would like to see some, and learn about their histories and how they smoke. Two K is a high bar. Perhaps it should be dropped to anything over one K. Be more entries that way.

We used to have an active member here who had a wonderfully high end pipe collection. The last post from him I remember was him actually thinning his heard and they certainly were beautiful works of art. He always sailed every where and would come back showing his newest pipes. I can't remember his name. I think he was on one of the earlier Radio shows as well.
I do hope some of you guys post them.

Definitely worth more than $2000 although I'm not sure what the penalty for breaking into a museum is...

Since I'm not holding them in my hands here they are with the Bamboo Group as posted here before.

I have never paid more than 450.00 for any pipe I have ever bought. I have owned pipes that retailed back in 2001 for 800-900, but paid way below the wholesale price brand new. Today some of these pipes would go for 1500.00 plus, but if it were not for me trading Cuban cigars for them, I would have never owned them. I have a price point that I don't see me going over anytime soon, especially when I can get some of the best smoking pipes I have ever owned for less than 450.00.
fish, those are great looking pipes, if I am not being to inquisitive, did you pay 2000.00 or is it that you know they would sell for that?

Harris,

I traded the equivalent of what would be slightly over $2k for each, of course nothing I traded added up to my actually paying that amount it's just they had appreciated to that amount allowing me to trade for the Ivarsson and Teddy.

If I remember correctly, I think His forum name is yachtexplorer, and I think his first name is Richard.

Since Harris brought it up and I had not considered this these 2 would be worth in excess of $2k today also but as with the Knudsen and Ivarsson I do not have that much in them.

I also own a few others that are closing that gap, seems I have been fortunate over the years doing the same with firearms, bamboo fly rods, knives, books and now pipes, heck I even did it with banjos!

That is exactly who I was referring to. I need to try and find some of his old posts.

Here is what I was talking about.

A link to his pipe collection and some of his pipes below. I don't recall him mentioning how much he paid for his pipes, but I don't doubt many of his pipes hit the 2k mark. Hopefully he doesn't mind me sharing pics of his pipes again.

Nice pipes ! Fishnbanjo, is that a Sixten or a Lars ? Lots of people dont realize how much influence Sixten was on everything we call Danish.
