Shop Find, a Stanwell and a ?

Stopped my a local shop, they must have just bought an estate with several “new” pipes. I found a Kaywoodie for a buddy.

In another case I noticed a Dublin style pipe with an S and a crown! $5 so I was pretty excited
. I also got a nice $5 Lovat with the same shell briar finish but all it says is genuine imported briar. It has an intresting stem similar to a kaywoodie but different. Obviously a basket pipe but seems well made.

Nice! If you can't get the stems all the way in, that might mean there is still crud in the mortises.

Thanks, they both seat. I was just letting them dry before pushing them in tight.

Spent 45mins wandering around a huge barn of an antique "centre" a week ago. Only pipe I came across was a billiard minus its stem. Very Disappointing ?
