Does any online store ship pipe tobacco to Washington state? Wanted to make a birthday present to my brother in law, but none of smoking pipes, tobacco pipes, or pipes and cigars seem to be able to ship there. Thanks!

I wouldn't break the law

If I did break the law I wouldn't tell anyone

If I did tell anyone it wouldn't be done publicly on the largest forum in the pipe world
I’ll be over here waiting for the WA SWAT team to come fast-roping through my bay windows, MP5’s a-blazing!😆

“When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."
-catchy yet spurious attribution, but does capture the essence of the founders’ of the United States philosophy found in other writings too expansive to be quoted here😉

It’s insane, I used to live there. The way around this, as suggested above, is for you to place an order and then mail it to him behind the rainbow curtain. Too easy. Oh, and make sure to put it in coffee grounds, sealed inside an old fuel bladder - to throw off the tobacco dogs.

Wait, there are no tobacco dogs…. They are simply scarring off out of state retailers to maintain their ridiculous tobacco tax.

I live in Washington, and I order my stuff through 4Noggins. My friend has tried to order from them, but it won't let him. I'm guessing they made a change in their system; however, as I was an established customer, I think they continue to ship to me.

When I was in Chicago and visiting Iwan Ries, the manager said they would ship to me if I called into the shop instead of doing an order online. I haven't tested this yet though.

I have two addresses. One in a free state. This is where I get anything I am interested in getting. Personally, if I lived in a state such as Washington, I would have a P.O. Box in another state - yes, I know it's a drive. Using a Gift card credit card, I would have my tobacco mailed in large drops to that post office when I was ready to take a drive. An even easier work around is to be kind to relatives who live out of state. My sister lives in Washington and oddly, there are a lot of things I couldn't get in California that I could in Washington via the mail. She gladly forwarded all of my shipments. Now that I have a Nevada home, the need for that has ended. This site clearly states that discussions about breaking the law shouldn't readily be discussed, so I should add that one should not do what I just stated above because it may be unlawful. But honestly, I am not certain that receiving a tobacco purchase from a relative who lives out of state is breaking the law if the relative were the person to have bought it. This may be a legitimate work around. Is it the out of state purchase that is illegal and then having it shipped from out of state or is it only the shipping?

My thoughts are that this isn't so much about breaking a law as much as it is civil disobedience. Yes, civil disobedience comes with consequences. But without it, stupid laws only get stupider. They will come a day when tobacco via mail vial anything, honestly, will come to an end. For this reason I created my cellar and I started blending my own blends using ingredients that are cheaper and more readily available.

I understand that it's the buying pipe tobacco online and shipping it what's illegal, regardless if it's within the state or out of state. They say they are concerned about children. 🤷‍♂️
And who am I to fight the government. No Heemeyer for sure.

Im not suggesting a solution but I find it interesting that people think someone is acutally looking inside of domestic mail. Im talking about person to person. Ive known people inside the post office and they are so grossly underfunded they cant touch a tiny percentage of outright mail fraud. They certainly arent hunting down a few tins of pipe tobacco. A business is another matter. They have a license to protect and unhappy customers can screw with them.
