+1 Puffy ! Thanks for keeping everyone updated.
My wife just went to the doctor and was told that everyone over 50 should get this shot. Thankfully our insurance covers it 100%. Even if it didn't cover anything, we'd get them. The shot has a short "shelf life" and is ordered in batches after the doctor's office has a certain amount of people waiting for them.
Also everyone should be thinking of the Dpat shot (diptheria, pertussis, and tetinus) - the new additive is the whooping cough (pertussis).

I've had Shingles twice. Once when I was 21 on my abdomen, and once when I was 45 on my thigh. Both were probably a result of stress. Neither occurrence was overly painful; to be honest the only reason I consulted a physician was because I feared it would spread to my groin ... 8O ... That said, if there is a vaccine that prevents reoccurrence, I would strongly advise getting it.

Doctors have a term for that particular type of pain. They call it "exquisite" pain.

From my experience I'd say that's an apt description.
