Well, the film industry does get it right a lot of the time too, as evidenced by the IMDB "incorrectly regarded as goofs" category. But heck, to quote one of the great anachronism flicks of all time (History of the World, Pt.I), "Don't be square, mon cher! Movies is magic!"
