Every time I’ve lost, from death or a parting of ways, someone I loved or have been in love with, I leave a small piece of myself behind. Sometimes not such a small piece. It seems to me you left a pretty big chunk behind with this loss; it’s good to know you’ve rebuilt well with the rest.

I certainly get it. Sometimes something just reminds you of someone or you think god damn it I'd love to hear their take on things that might be useful or you see someone that kind of looks like them and you know nope never going to see them again. Or the weather just reminds you of that one time....

My neighbor lost his wife last year after 49 years of marriage. He visits her twice a day, every day at the cemetery. We're close friends I visit with him often. He's lost without her and very lonely.

My wife and I have been married 41 years and I can't imagine life without her. It scares me.

Duane, sorry for your loss. It's nice to see that you still love her and think about her.

Was just out shopping and realized that she could not have handled modern times. She didn't know a stranger and would be all about talking to everyone she met. Social distancing would have drive her mad.
