Despite discussing tobacco, I just can't piece together why SG would have articles about westerners marrying philipino women, the benefits of lychees, and tree stump removal.

I find philipino women attractive- I had a filipino friend growing up - the thing is a lot of the women tend to be masculine, and men quite effeminate
As for the site -hijacked domain? - it's probably registered to someone else who is using the site for ad's and clickbait - since Sam Gawith is high traffic keyword and 'cold browsing'

I suspect that the website name has been allowed to lapse as there is a new Gawith Hoggarth site being set up
