Glynn Quelch. GQ Tobacco. Rose Geranium Plug was blended for GQ, and GQ only.@jpberg : Who is Glynn? You have lost me there unless its an earlier post I overlooked!
I’ve often seen RB and RG Plug used interchangeably, that ain’t right.

Isn't he out of the tobacco game altogether? I used to love his energetic videos when he was first getting into blending. He had some strange concoctions he would lay on his friends, cumin and ginger, stuff I had never heard of being used in tobacco, but he was always trying new things.Glynn Quelch. GQ Tobacco. I think so, but I’m not positive. I busted my bank and my balls buying a shit ton of Rose Geranium Plug in 2016. Probably the finest mix of flavor and power that I’ll ever see, but the prices just killed me, and that was that, and I quit paying attention.Isn't he out of the tobacco game altogether? Let me guess... flavored with body odor, pot, patchouli, and a deep sense of social despondency?@jpberg RB is the stuff from a Grateful Dead concert
Thanks for this response. Good info.Sigh
Cannon Plug has not been “grandfathered” or otherwise filed with the FDA AFAIK, so, as has been the case for a long time (forever?) it won’t be available in the US through an official importer.
A UK retailer is free to order Cannon Plug, Dark Flake Aromatic, or Kendal Flake directly from Gawith. Rather than being sent out the next day, or given a date when it will be shipped, they will be told that the request is subject to minimum order requirements. When orders reach a certain point to justify making the tobacco AND going to the expense of getting the distinctly unique UK packaging lined up, the orders will be filled. This is standard operating procedure in the domestic UK market.
Though Tobacco Reviews lists Dark Flake Scented and Dark Flake Aromatic seperately, they are the same. Years ago, Sheffield Exchange, the official US importer, decided that they didn’t want to use the term aromatic to describe these blends. They are the same. Oh, now, in the UK, the use of Aromatc is verboten, so UK shops, such as Black Swan, advertise this as Dark A Flake. Same tobacco.
Export markets are a completely different deal. If the new US distributor wants about the same amounts of Dark Flake Scented and Kendal Cream (now KC in the US) as has been ordered in the past, all other things being equal, the factory will make it.
@jpberg RB is the stuff from a Grateful Dead concert. RG is incredible but a very rare creature whilst Cannon Plug is a different animal as well. Rather confusing when you think about it. That's the problem with these types of tobacco, once you smoke them nothing else will do. I'd love to know which 'Wing Nut' thought getting rid of Warrior Plug was a sound idea. I often wonder if certain tobacco companies hired all of Harley Davidson or BSA/Triumph's management team from 1974 and put them in the product division!

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
