I enjoy strong tobaccos and ropes the most, Brown Bogie being one of my favorites.

I am considering getting myself a box of Brown No. 4 with IPSD coming up,

How does it compare to Brown Bogie?

It's a great smoke, although not as strong in flavour as the GH ropes.

Completely different IMO. BB4 is a lovely, slightly sweet, medium flake and HBB is more like a cigar

BB4 is a twist from SG, you mistook it for Best Brown 2 which is a slightly floral VaBur flake I believe.
My main concern is whether I will like it or not, taking in consideration that Brown Bogie and Irish Flake my favorites.

I appreciate the input

Liking the SG BB4 is - like all things pertaining to taste - a matter of degree. My guess is that, based what you have claimed to like already, you will enjoy the BB4. The extent to which you enjoy the BB4 is another matter that you must tell us :puffy:
I find BB4 to be delicious and very useful to add to other tobaccos. But YMMV.

Basically the proportions of the leaf are the only difference. I find that Brown #4 is very similar to Brown Irish X. Both are stellar!
Given your favorite tobaccos, I can guarantee that you're gonna love Brown #4.

Alright, I think I am getting more and more convinced.

I took up oldreddog on the offer to see for sure.
Since I am at it anyway, I'd like to know how do the moisture levels compare?

I've noticed with flakes GH seems to play a fairer game, shipping less water.

Think it depends if you get it from the tin or the box. Mine was gifted to me but is definitely dryer than my GH Twists.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I think you'd definitely like it, Kanse, but it'd be hard to say how it compares. They have their differences, but if we take into account the wide world of tobacco, I'd say they are quite similar. They are both two of my favorites.

I find they are very similar but to me #4 has a more sweet meat type taste and Brown Bogie has more of that smokey dark kentucky flavour.
