If I might echo something Collin mentioned, something that's served me well throughout 20 years of meeting and taking out lovely young ladies?
It's to dance.
Dance, young man.
And I'm not just talking about the slow dance "Zombie Shuffle." (Although that does indeed have its place.) Dance to upbeat stuff. And do it with a grin. Smiling will not only cover up a multitude of rhythmical failings, it also advertises the fact that you're having a great time.
And every woman in the building has come there for that very reason.
Have fun. =]

Ah, senior prom. Mine was a double date with my wife. Unfortunately at the time she was dating the other guy. That was the night we met. About six months later we were married. That was 25 years ago.
Keep in mind the prom isn't about you, it's about her. She is the picture, you are just the frame.

What *NOT* to wear to your prom. (I'm the one in the turquoise suit. We call that color "Aqua Velva.")

Oh wow....I didn't go to my junior prom because I was pretty new to the school (Moved from Ohio to Georgia, talk about culture shock). My senior year prom, I gave my girlfriend "the RING" and had polished up my sky blue '82 Impala to look classic and new as best I could. I cleaned up (got rid of all the goth-wear and wore a classic tux), she wore this AMAZING dress, but somehow we kept our behavior clean. The main thing I wish is that I'd danced with her more then. I'm extremely uncomfortable and shy in crowds, but we still had a good time.
Then, I went to her junior and senior proms and I remember dancing a little more and also spending time with some other friends after prom. Always kept it clean, respectful, and of course respectful of her parent's wishes.
4-6 months later, I married that woman and have been married to her since.

Bring "protection", that is my advice. Well, nevermind, she has been your gf for over a year so you already know this.
