Regardless of what I’m interested in, I’ll get an offer.
So, does the seller think knocking $2 off the $22 asking price will lure?

It’s some type of eBay formula sent to watchers of auctions.Regardless of what I’m interested in, I’ll get an offer.

My tendency is to knock $10 or more off because of the shipping. It’s because I know the usual shipping rates.Yes , it will work. Why it's "only $2", it can be enough to move a person from putting something in the maybe category to actually pulling the trigger.
For sure, but he’s probably just trying to make a little profit. I don’t mind if people make a little off me - willing buyers and all that, but I resent when someone is trying to earn their entire weeks living off me.I realize that the seller is going to spend $1.50 in shipping and no tracking
A somewhat shady option in a situation like this is to open an item not described case. eBay then forces the seller to pay return shipping an issue a full refund. Buyers win 100% of INAD cases. I wouldn't recommend doing this if the seller was on the up and up. But shady begets shady.I once bought two items off eBay from the same seller without asking about combining the shipping first. After the buy it now purchase the bastard refused to combine and charged me a shipping charge for each item that was something like $8.95 on each low price item. Topped it all off by sending them both in one box with about $3 actual postage stamped on the box. Prick. My fault for not checking first but his fault for being an asshole. Needless to say I left negative feedback which he vociferously disputed. Yeah, won’t be buying from him again.
Or deduct what they post for shipping.10% for me on eBay at least covers the sales tax.
True. I’ve had a seller except a low price and ship via pony express....lol!Good plan, but doesn't work if you were offering free shipping,
