There was a Jerry Garcia-looking guy who worked at the gas station between my work and home. A number of us used that station regularly and got the vibe or the experience that there was something very special about him. His Buddha nature was palpable.

I was a couple feet away from Catherine Deneuve on a few occasions in the last 10 years or so. It certainly was not the same tepid feeling of being around some flash in the pan celebrity.
The warmth of her personality comes across even in photos.

A few years ago, I got chatting to Patsy Kensit in a queue at a sandwich bar.

I was blessed (cursed?) with 3 first names and it causes me no end of trouble when I'm trying to get a work visa anywhere in Europe or the Americas. Oddly enough, there was no issue with it in India.
