Just received a new pipe, for which I paid full price. Upon inspection, I noticed the bowl bore is a bit off center.

Looking straight through the mortise toward the bowl, the drilling is low and pointing slightly from left-to-right.

Looking straight down on the bowl from above, with the stem at 6 o’clock, the drilling is perhaps a half mm right of center.

Pipe cleaner passes cleanly with the stem attached.

This is the first pipe I’ve had, which I’ve noticed any off-center issues. I have seen several opinions in the forums, that these things happen, and some folks are happy to live with it.

I would appreciate any thoughts and opinions about how likely this could be problematic. I could gain some peace of mind in making my decision whether to return this pipe. I could also learn something useful too!
