Your last two posts are so riddled with errors of basic understanding of how these islands are governed, I don’t know where to begin. If I have to start by explaining the difference between British and English I know I’ll be here all day before we even get to the Barnett Formula and life’s too short.

Rog for me. Although Connery did a pretty good job for a bald, tattooed milkman, to be fair. Certainly better than the miserable blond scouser!
Roger Moore was my favourite Bond as well, mainly because his Bond films were the ones I grew up watching in the 1980's. I really liked The Man With The Golden Gun and Live And Let Die.

I had heard that the next Bond was going to be a woman, but the last thing I read was Cubby Broccoli's daughter saying that definitely wasn't going to happen.

I don't pretend to understand the tax rules of either the UK or England. I do know England is a part of the UK. That being said, most men are allowed to choose how they live and where they live paying proper respect to the laws of the various countries.

Connery opted out of a UK Scotland. I see no right nor wrong to his choice. He lived as he wished, fought honorably for Scotland's independence and exercised his right to emigrate. I understand you miss his tax payments. But, he simply moved to live more comfortably, fiscally, philosophically, morally, etc. He simply exercised a choice and seemed to accept all of the attendant benefits and the adversities of that choice.

But, we've co-opted this thread and for that I apologize to the OP.

My parents took me to see Thunderball when I was 6 - hooked forever after that, lol. A lot of the "customary byplay" was lost on me, but about age 12-13 started searching out the paperbacks in used book stores and they were/are great reads - I will read one tomorrow!

And here I thought that Scotland became independent after William Wallace died, freed by his men who went on fighting.

RIP Sean Connery. It's not popular now but I'll remember him for his triumphs as well as his flaws. Sure, he had his problems but he had great points too.
