Does anyone transfer their sealed pouches (amphora, half and half etc.) to jars or do you keep them in their pouches for storage?

depends. Most pouch stuff I got through relatively quickly. And honestly most not all pouch stuff doesn't seem to really benefit much from aging. They're all designed to be bought and smoked pretty much smoked straight away (maybe some drying). Now if I was going to keep it for more then a month or two it would go into the jar. Also my experience with pouches are either enough pg to not worry about them drying out completely or they come dry and are meant to be dry.
So basically keep it in the pouch unless you think it's going to take half a year or longer to finish then jar is.

That's good advice. I'm not necessarily looking to age any of these as much as I'm buying to have a stock. I think I'll be jarring them.

Never put them in jar for me. And I don't smoke as much as others. One, maybe two bowls a day. For whatever reason, pouch tobacco stay moist most of the time. If they are bit on dry side, I just add them to next pouch.

I made this mistake with a couple of pouches of Amphora Kentucky - bought 'em and forgot 'em. Then a year or so later had a hankering and opened one up - wasn't ruined but quite alot dryer than it should have been. So I opened all three and jarred them up immediately. I since have jarred some pouches of Amphora Burley as soon as I got them just to be sure.

I bought St. Bruno Ready Rubbed this year with 2019 and 2020 date codes that are fine after opening one up to smoke. I just threw the pouches in with my tins in a storage container along with the 5 Brothers pouches.

No jarring the pouches for me. Carter Hall takes months to dry out, and that's what I want. Plus it doesn't take me long to finish, so it's irrelevant. But CH also comes in a pouch in a box, so that keeps it fresh u till I'm ready for it.

I split mine. Half I put into a small Ball jar and leave the rest in the pouch which is kept inside a zip-lock baggie when not in use.

I bought up the last of the older version Carter Hall pouches from local drug stores. Who knows how long these sat on the shelves? No. I leave them for posterity. They’ll be fine whenever I get around to them.
