My grand plans foiled again by those pesky eBayers!
Yes my friends,

I've duped myself again!
What I had thought was a major victory and a wonderful find turns out to be yet another empty tin!

LOL

Just today it arrived.
What I had thought was a wonderfully preserved and unopened cutter-top of Gallaher's Killarney...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-KILLARNEY-TOCACCO-CAN-STILL-SEALED-GRAPHIC-TAKE-A-LOOK-/201515650053?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=j81fJL3WTKrmJNAJZqaw0cCxGDQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
......turned out to be totally empty!

:crying:
Yet,

with a neat twist.
It is an advertising shop display dummy tin,

but a sample of the tobacco itself is placed under a clear top for inspection.
It is actually still sealed and unopened.
I've never seen anything like it.
The little bit 'o baccy that was in there also still carried slight trace of a very distinct scent,

leading me to believe that this stuff when fresh must've been highly aromatic.
So,

although my stomach plummeted upon discovering it was empty and therefore losing my opportunity to sample a long lost oldie from my favorite tobacco house of Gallaher's,

I've now recovered and I'm actually quite pleased to have an unusual artifact!
