You probably know it is user generated content and user moderated.
Some of those moderators can be real sticklers too when you try to add links. I've had many rejected in the past with other sites of mine.
The way you can actually be sure to get links from this powerful site is to make sure the link goes to extraordinary content that supplements the Wikipedia entry quite well.
