Based on daveinlux's note the other day re Crown Acheivement, I just ordered 8 oz. from Park Lane Tobacco. It still maintains its pricey reputation ($36.00 for the 8 oz) but I remember it fondly from years ago. I used to buy it at the Lane Ltd store in NY. In those days a 1 lb can of their other blends was about $8.00 while Crown Acheivement ran about $20.00.

I'll be parceling this out very sparingly with a dram or two of Macallan's. A guy desreves a treat every once in a while.

For sure. I guess this stuff is real scarce and may even be discontinued. I completely forgot about it until the other day. I may go through the rest of my cache of discontinued tobaccos and set up a museum in my basement.

I think I've had this under another name. After reading the description I believe I'd love it, I'm contemplating ordering some. What other blends do you relate it to?

Good question. Its been so long since I've had Crown Acheivement that I don't know what to compare it to. I intend to bring it to the pipe store and let the owner try to match it with something close. Due to the complexity and type of tobaccos in it it'll be interesting to see what we decide is a comparable match.

I'll do a review on it and let everyone know.
