Another thumbs up for Meerschaum Market. I’ve never gotten a dog from them. They aren’t the only reputable place out there but I can easily recommend them from personal experience.

Make sure you check out the bowl dimensions before you buy any meer. They can often run slightly towards the smaller inner diameter end of things. Not a problem but best to avoid surprises.

That's funny but does show how individual things are. I was looking at Meers today and having a hard time finding many with a .75 id. What's worse, more of them than not are over 6" in length. Especially from the higher end Carvers.

That is funny, I usually have 0.75 as a preferred minimum diameter. As always there’s no right or wrong when it comes to personal preference.

It seems like the meer carvers tend to go through phases of what they’re making. Recently many started offering stained pipes and colorful stems. At one point it was smallish (IMO) tobacco chambers.
