I have a Golden Walnut on the way that looks more matte finished than your BL. My guess is that someone loved that pipe and polished it over time and now it's got an even lovelier finish. I have some clean up work ahead of me on mine.

I support youtube age restrictions. Frankly, I'm tired of fighting 11 years old for the best tins at the pipe shop! Nothing worse than an over privelaged brat mocking you with his bag of Pembroke as you walk out of the shop with something bulk. Hopefully these youtube age restrictions will quell the fad of smokey English pipe tobacco among school children.
